I loved this book. Alaric and Willa were absolutely delightful. Their courtship was swoon-worthy and full of witty banter, and of course, Sweetpea made me want a pet skunk. Looking forward to the rest of this series.

This book was absolutely lovely. Though slow at times, the story was heartbreaking and beautiful. I read it at exactly the right time. It has kept me company through a truly difficult week in just the way I didn't know I needed.

Unlike the lovely ladies on Heaving Bosoms, I really love this book, but listening to them discuss it is still loads of fun. If you love romance novels and banter, and haven't checked out the Heaving Bosoms Podcast, you are missing out!

theresidentromantic @Nicole-Reads I love Julia Quinn 😍 Roslyn Landor is the best as the audiobook narrator for those! I just grabbed the first Bridgerton book at a library sale! 6y
Nicole-Reads I love her too!😍❤ I have every one of her books and go back to re-read them fairly often. I haven't tried the audiobooks though. Might give them a shot, now that you mention them. The Brigertons were actually my introduction to romance novels. Have you read them all? 6y

I've never been one for Christian romance, but this one has been recommended to me a few times, so I'm giving it a try. So far (ch.4), I really like the heroine. She's a survivor, and more than a little cynical. Looking forward to seeing where her story goes.

Tessa Dare never disappoints. I love, love, loved this book. Charlotte is endearing and relatable. Piers is completely swoon-worthy. I can't say enough good things about this book or the entire Castles Ever After series.

theresidentromantic I just discovered her with her newest book this month! Totally in love, she's amazing! I completely agree, I have to read this series. 6y
Nicole-Reads @theresidentromantic Yes! She is amazing. I only discovered her semi-recently and I don't understand how that happened. Now I'm working my way through her backlist. You should absolutely read the whole series. Every book in it is magic. 6y
theresidentromantic @Nicole-Reads Right? I started on the Castles series first instead, but I think they cross at some point, too? I did the same thing with Laura Kaye this month, definitely an April for overlooked authors lol 6y

Nicole-Reads @theresidentromantic Yes, I actually meant the Castles series. This is the book where it crosses with another series, but I haven't read the other one yet. I haven't read Laura Kaye either! Just looked her up. I'll have to add her to my TBR. 6y
theresidentromantic @Nicole-Reads For some reason I thought your original post said Spindle Series, that's the other one lol! My bad. And she's an absolute must. So many warm fuzzies 😍 6y
Nicole-Reads @theresidentromantic That's the name! I couldn't remember. They mention a town called Spindle Cove in this book. The heroine used to live there and was apparently a minor character in that series. Warm fuzzies are the best ❤. I'm looking forward to checking her out. 6y

I think I might have enjoyed this more if I hadn't already read You, which does this sort of unreliable narrator so incredibly well. Our Kind of Cruelty was entertaining, but felt slow in places. It didn't surprise me in any real way.

Tiffany Reisz has done it again. The Lucky Ones is dark and twisty, but full of love and family too. It's an emotional rollercoaster of a read. Nothing beats a good Gothic novel, and this one definitely delivers.

It had been a while since I last read a Christine Feehan book, but I absolutely loved Judgement Road. Reaper checked all of my catnip boxes and Anya was brave and compassionate. The story had me crying more than once.

I loved this book! The hero was swoon-worthy, the heroine engaging, and the depiction of fandom in the plot immensely entertaining. This is a fun, deeply satisfying story. One that I am certain to read again and again.

JoRead This was my first book by her and I loved it! Not to mention the depiction of her hair reminded me so much of my own 😂😂 7y
Nicole-Reads @JoRead Haha That is awesome. I love details like that. It was my first by her too! Definitely not my last 7y

I enjoyed the story, but I listened to it on audiobook and the reader used an accent for Julian that drove me crazy and constantly threw me out of the book. It kept me from feeling the emotional attachment for the character that the writing clearly wanted to create.

No one does witty banter quite as well as @JuliaQuinn . It was a Bridgerton novel that first made me into a romance reader (Romancing Mister Bridgerton, if you're curious), and all these years later, they are still among my favorite characters to visit. I loved meeting George and Billie and watching their story unfold! #romantsy #romance

Leelee08 I loooooved this one! 7y

I love Christina Dodd's historicals, but this was my first of her romantic suspense novels. I wound up reading most of it in one day, fully engrossed in the town of Virtue Falls. Though I would have liked more scenes between Maddie and Jacob, I would definitely recommend this book.

This book was such fun. For a while, I was an undergrad English major again, when symbolism and interpretation were the orders of the day. So many memories of Dr. Phillip Marcus lived in these pages for me.

Maya Rodale gives voice to all the unarticulated thoughts I have every time I am criticized for reading romance. I should hand out copies of this book at Christmas.
