Last Saturday was our National Children's Day in Thailand. To celebrate the day I picked up this book to reread. It's my most favorite book when I was a kid. Almost 30 years have passed and it's still lovely and not boring at all :)

This book had been in my huge pile of TBR for years and it became one of the books that told me to stop buying new books (or at least buy less), read and discover gem in what you already had (but shamelessly neglected). It is a beautiful book. The one that makes you feel good when you finish it at night and wake up feeling wonderful the next morning.

Interesting historical story presented in this wordless picture book. Love lose and quirky lines of the illustration as well as funny expression of each character. I enjoyed looking at little details of scenes and actions. This book should give parents and their kids great reading experience.

Currently reading. This book was in adult fiction shelf but I feel like I'm reading a book for teens. It's an easy read and although I'm not so impressed with her writing style, I just kept reading and want to know what will happen next.

Another mystery series I'm following. Robert Galbraith is another pen name of J.K. Rowling who wrote Harry Potter. I like this series because it's not too dark or too harsh and I'm curious about the romantic element between the protagonist and his assistant. It's kind of cute. :)

pageturnersnook I absolutely love the Cormoran Strike novels 4y
MerryRead @lauraturner Can't wait to read this one. The opening is quite intriguing :D 4y
pageturnersnook This is the only one I haven't read - need to make a purchase 4y

There are 2 book series I follow and keep in stock to read when I don't know what to read. One is Louise Penny's Armand Gamache series and the other is this Flavia de Luce mystery. On the fourth book now :)

Life is change. If you aren't growing and evolving you're standing still, and the rest of the world is surging ahead. Most of these people are very immature. They live 'still' lives, waiting

I listened to this book while working. Funny and heartwarming. It helped me get through exhaustion and looming-deadline anxiety. A good reading/listening experience :)

I read this book in January and got a feeling this would be one of my top ten books by the end of this year :) The author narrates the story in a quiet but impressive voice. You can feel snow swirling around you, hear the heartbreaking silence and feel your heart getting warm when love is around.

MyBookLife I have this in my book shelf! But I haven't read it yet... 4y
MerryRead @MyBookLife Tell me how you feel when you read it. I rarely reread anything but I already put this book in my to be reread shelf :) 4y
tpixie @MerryRead loved it! 3y

Currently reading The Light Between Oceans. Just got to page 166. Although I want to know what happens, the writing doesn't capture me, tempted to switch to read something else. Maybe the blue one here?

MyBookLife Oh no! I've heard so many great things 😥 4y
MerryRead No, try it. You may like the book. I guess my reading depends on moods. I don't like it now but I may end up loving it. I don't know, will try to finish it and I'll tell you :) @MyBookLife 4y
MyBookLife @MerryRead I have been meaning to read it, but I haven't bought it yet. There are soo many books 😅 I think I will read this book, it sounds like something I would like. Hopefully 🙃 4y
Bornwithabookinmyhand I almost quit reading this one numerous times. I just wasn't spellbound by it. I did complete it, and I am glad that did. I look forward to hearing what you think if you finish it! 4y
MerryRead @MyBookLife @AprilQuid I decided to continue reading. Don't want to leave any book unfinished :) I think it starts to get more interesting. Will tell you how I feel when I finish it! 4y

Funny, heartbreaking and wonderful. My favorite :)

MyBookLife I have to read his books soon, I've read his blog for years and I love him! His writing is so funny, and he manages to capture thoughts and actions we do and see the humor in it. 4y
MerryRead @MyBookLife I really recommend it. The writing is charming. I can't help falling in love with the characters especially the cat. Too bad his second book just loses the charm of his first writing :( 4y
MyBookLife @MerryRead The grandmother book is supposed to be really good to. Britt-Marie not as good. That is the word on the street anyway 😉 4y
MerryRead @MyBookLife I read the grandmother book and didn't like it that much. Just didn't feel connected with the characters. I feel his writing charm is not there, a bit sad about that :( 4y

One of the books that makes me feel better with myself. Not that I hate my silence but being able to understand oneself is part of happiness :)
