So much love for Robert Burns. This little book never leaves my desk. And it's his birthday! I just posted a video reading of "A Man's a Man for A' That" on my YouTube channel.

Last of the Sweetwater trilogy, and probably the best. Had suspense, a mystery that I did not solve before the main characters, and plenty of heart. Clark O'Neill rarely fails to entertain.

Could not put this one down. If you've read my books, you know I have a thing for Southern girls with crazy mamas, and this one does not disappoint. When Althea begins to question the general conclusion about the women in her family, it uncovers a horrifying tale generations old.

This is the second book I've read in this series. They have both been solid, entertaining thrillers.

Still reading? But I like it so far. Characters are interesting. Sleepy puppy isn't so sure.

Women's fiction w/ a refreshingly modern voice. A sweet story of love and loss. Grab your favorite craft beer, sit back and enjoy.

Found this between the sofa cushions. One of the kids must have been reading. Always a classic, especially for contrary children.

There's a week left in Mios na Gàidhlig. If you're feeling inspired to learn Gaelic this is a good self-study resource.

The characters were good, but everything just felt too easy. I like that there weren't the typical misunderstandings and unwarranted drama of many romances. However, there needed to be more resistance for them either from events of outside. I wanted the characters to be tested more.

Imagine All the inscrutable sexiness of James Bond minus the gadgets and state support. Francis Crawford sets the standard for spies/mercenaries, a beautiful anti-hero that you won't be able to get enough of. Dunnett's meaty prose is a meal in itself.

Mansfield Park | Jane Austen
Pickpick

Jane Austen's social commentary at its most comical and most cutting. Love the book.
