Pickpick

I loved this book!
It has everything I didn‘t know I needed and missed. Love Harry Potter? Here! Learn sorcery, but without wands! 😃
It also has the feel of Percy Jackson‘s spunk and humor and with the magical hand movements of Doctor Strange (read it and you‘ll understand 😎)

It‘s honestly so good and all I want now is a sequel and a movie! 🤩

I was desperate for some book finds while in Denmark for work, but goddammit they barely stock English books here!! 😆
But I did find these three classics and I‘m very excited for them all!! 👏🏼👏🏼
The king in yellow - Robert W. Chambers
The monk - Matthew Lewis
Classic Victorian & Edwardian ghost stories

Swe_Eva There should be an In English-shelf somewhere in the bookstore, but perhaps they hid it too well. 😂 6y
LiteraryTess @Swe_Eva There was one! But it was tiny and insignificant and had like...10 books...! 1 of each..! 😂🙈 6y
Swe_Eva What?! That's shameful. 😮 6y

LiteraryTess @Swe_Eva Right?? Any bookstore with respect for themselves should have a massive English section!! That‘s what I had when I was running a bookstore 😂👍🏼 6y
Swe_Eva In Uppsala, Sweden, there's the English Bookstore, which just won the International Bookstore of the Year award at the London Book Fair, so next time you have to work on Denmark, tell them you need to work in Sweden instead. 😂 I only buy books in Swedish when I'm home visiting, but I know my store has at least 2 shelves of English and the children's section has its own! 6y
LiteraryTess @Swe_Eva Cool!! Is that the “English Bookshop”-one? I visited that one in Stockholm and LOVED it ❤️ we have an awesome one in Oslo as well (Outland), though it specialises in fantasy/sci fi! Luckily my old workplace has a good stock of English in all the stores! 😄🙏🏼 6y
Swe_Eva @LiteraryTess Yes! I believe the one is Stockholm is a branch off the Uppsala one. I live in the US, so I'm not starved for English language stuff, but instead go bonkers for the Swedish stuff when I go visit. 😉 6y

I got a bunch of Dean Koontz books my mom was giving away! I haven‘t read anything of him but apparently he‘s just as creepy as Stephen King? 😱 Even more, according to my mom!! 😅

Have you read anything of his?? Do let me know!

What would be the logical choice of book to bring along on a trip you‘re going on alone? The Exorcist, of course. 👍🏼😐
That‘s why I‘ve chosen to participate in a Exorcist #readalong in April! Since I‘m only gonna be at home in my own bed 8 WHOLE DAYS in all of April...! 😂

PREPARE TO BE AFRAID ...
(It literally says that on the back) 😭
