It was... fast-paced? A version of The Handmaid's Tale with a happy ending that lacks Atwood's grace and ability to convey interior life with selection of detail.

The superhero headquarters and exploration of new powers was really gratifying. There were enough twists to keep it curious, and I did break down a little bit when Danny was explaining to her mother how living as a boy would have eventually killed her. Also like that one of the villains is a TERF.

Starts in mid-stream which amps up the excitement. Equal parts creepy and sweet, visually unexpected. And we love a strong female lead around here
