I don't really read thrillers or do the true crime thing. But I picked this up for October and enjoyed it! I feel it was a good intro to the genre. Only issue was the ending felt a bit too rushed/sudden, like the author just wanted to be done with the story.Though a series it can work as a stand alone.
TW: kidnapping, violence, sexual assault, murder

Unfortunately bland. Nothing really drew me in-- the romance, Titanic drama, designer drama. Tess is bland as can be. Barely any if the characters have depth or development.

Second in a trilogy this was AMAZING. The characters and interactions are amazing and develop so well. The villain is genuinely infuriating and it makes sense why he is able to still do horrible things. Best read so far this year.

Easy to digest and a wonderful account of the history of dinosaurs and our discoveries of them. Scientists are written as people and there is so much interesting info. If you're interested in paleontology or dinosaurs in general I highly recommend.

The pace is pretty face and a bit erratic sometimes. The visuals are awesome, as expected from HB. More character driven than plot. The book is ok, but definitely a good quick read- especially in fall.

If you are a fan of the series this is a cute addition.
It definitely relies on the reader knowing the series and characters.
I am not a big Blood fan (only reason I rated it so-so) but this was cute and I definitely enjoyed it. Happy to have it in my collection.

This book could have done better with another 100 pages minimum. It moved along so fast. The love plot seemed like insta-love and overall very weak.
It felt like reading an overview of a soap opera at the end of a season rather than a novel.
Not my taste, but may be a nice quick read for some.

Once I started this book I wasn't able to put it down. I love the characters and the tension that never seems to leave. This book also has some of my hidden-gender tropes.
It does have a few shifting perspectives that just add to the tension and drama all around.
I really enjoyed this and support picking it up.

This book requires trigger warnings. It is not a fluffy MLM book, it is dark and f*cked up a lot of the times.
I am fascinated by the world in the book, as well as the dynamic forming between the princes.
Damen is strong and honorable but a bit slow on the political aspects. Laurent is a scheming sadist that I want to learn more of.
I enjoyed this, but dis feel it could have stood to be longer to develop characters more.

This book is a series of 'liar revealed' tropes. It was a very easy read but unfortunately you could tell what was going to happen as it came up. Biggest issue are the characters of the royal family, honestly.
I rated it 3/5 cause it was ok, just nothing intense. I do love the concept of a poisonous girl.
Wish it had been longer to develop characters and plot more.

I love Tamora Pierce but this book is not for me. It was 400+ pages of a slice-of-life. So many times a plot could have picked up but we just kept seeing their school life. It's not until the last 50 pages that a plot finally starts to develop.
If i read the sequel itll be from the library

I started this in 2020, where aome similarities were a bit eerie to current events. I really like how Red is written. She is definitely paranoid and a bit of a dooms day prepper, but she is also the survivir, the realist.
My only qualm is that icwish the book were longer. There are some aspects that i feel could have been built up more for a bigger impact. But this is a good quick dystopian-pandemic read.

This book should be paired with other resources. This is a work book with several journal prompts. I feel that the sections didnt have enough information to make the prompts truly beneficial.
Sociological essays and other booms can be used to build around the topics in the book for better understanding and the ability to truly look within a peraon's self

This book is amazing but certainly a heavy read. Most books have one or two ideas/philosophies to it. This book, on the other hand, seems to discuss a different philosophy every chapter.
Poor Artyom suffers through so many intense things. I do recommend this book if youre looking for somerhing a bit more thought provoking but with an overall plot and amazing world .

Token vampire episode, and introduced more characters when we already have so many. Weakest of the series in my opinion.

THIS is what we deserve in a sequel. This was so intense and i couldnt put it down. Nina is such an amazing, warped, fascinating character

This book focuses on several different perspectives showing how This military popup town works. I think the biggest thing is the ending. With most novels you expect some big ending at where things Tie up or some big moment occurs that brings all the characters together. Instead we have a very realistic ending which when you're reading a book may not be exactly what you want.

I read this when i was young and it led me to reading. Put JK's horribleness aside this can be a good book to get kids to reading longer books.
