Killman Creek | Rachel Caine

I really enjoyed Stillhouse Lake and it‘s intensity. I felt like I couldn‘t put it down. Killman Creek is a little bit different in that i feel like i have to push myself to read. I feel like I‘m not as invested and maybe it‘s because it‘s written differently? Stillhouse is from the perspective of Gwen Proctor only and this is told from many points of view. Gonna try to finish anyway 😎

Pickpick

I thought it started off kinda slow but maybe I‘m just impatient? Once it picked up, it really PICKED UP. Definitely a page turner and I‘m really happy with it. Let‘s see how the sequel does 🤔

Mehso-so

I liked the book at the end but i was kind of frustrated reading it because it does a lot of then-and-now switch ups and changes of character perspective. I wish the author had let us know why everyone was so upset with Rika earlier but maybe I‘m just impatient. Another thing that i wasn‘t a super fan of was all the rapey scenes and how Michael was okay with them and rika just moved past it. That‘s just me though.

I give this book a 9/10. I really enjoyed feeling on edge throughout my reading and i seriously could not put this book down but i wasn‘t super into the ending. I would‘ve loved for there to have been some kind of epic showdown between verity and lowen but there wasn‘t. I also would have loved if that letter to Jeremy had never been found under the floor because i really wanted that happy ending feeling but NOPE.
