I felt like this book had a lot of potential. The characters were strong, at least the Hempstock women were very well written but this book didn't do them justice. The story just wasn't there. Nothing had any explanation and it was all very "and then I woke up." Not great and hard to get through.

I'm so glad this story is now going to be retold in comic book form (just waiting for my back orders to come in at my local comic book store) and now on tv also! Incredible story. I need more. I need more Shadow for sure. Definitely one of those books I was so excited to finish but so bummed out to finish too. I really found the ending unsatisfactory for Shadow so I really hope he gets another book.
