I love fantasy and mystery fiction, but also a healthy amount of classic literature. More reviews at blushybentoreviews.wordpress.com

I Am the Messenger | Markus Zusak

Pickpick

I couldn't put it down. I actually stayed late at work one night just so that I could keep reading. Although it is young adult literature, Zusak does not sacrifice quality for his genre. Absolutely recommend this book to everyone.

Sanderson does not disappoint. While this may have been the slowest of his books that I gave read, it is beautifully written and every moment is enthralling. There is mystery and intrigue thay always wins my heart, as well as wonderful relationships and character development though the book. This is a great place to start if you're interested in starting Sanderson' s books.

Okay, I know this book is big and that can be scary, but it is worth it. The Name of the Wind is a well planned and amazing book! The world is so elaborate and authentic, as are all of the characters. And don't even get me started on how original and inventive the magic system is. I recommend starting this book as soon as you can get your hands on it.

Way of Kings | Brandon Sanderson
Pickpick

Regardless of the fact that this is a monster of a book, it went by so quickly. I can't wait to read more!
It is easy to tell that Sanderson loves his characters. On top of that, there is huge character development for every single character, regardless of how irridemable a character may be at one point, they could be your favorite character in the next chapter. They are all dynamic, very realistic, and go through meaningful character growth.

Phinfluenza I can honestly say that once I read The Way of Kings it was instantly my new favorite series. Reading the second and third books simply solidified that. I have read all of his books relating to the Cosmere and have yet to find one that I did not thoroughly enjoy. 6y
