I've always loved reading Anne Rice, but I never got around to reading this one. And I'm so glad I finally did. I never really understood Louis 's character. Louis's moral conscious and philosophy of what it means to be undead, and how he copes with it all makes his character truly enjoyable. And dear Cladia, her view of life as a child vampire is truly fascinating.

I think we are wise, we English speakers, to savor accents. They teach us things about our own tongue.

Twists and turns around every corner of every page.

I really wanted to like this book as much as I liked YOU, but I just couldn't get in to it as much. I feel like my mind just breezed past every page and it was such a quick read. The only thing that really kept me going was the revolving door of plot twists...

"You fell of a cliff, but you haven't fallen onto rocks."

This was a heartwarming read and really enjoyable.
Set in 1919, 4 sisters and their mother set off from their little town to try their hand at vaudeville to make a living. Through achievements on and off the stage we get to see the sisters love and heartbreak.
A definite must read for anyone who wants to read a vaudeville story that is both informative and entertaining.

I really liked this book. My only complaint is that i wish the ending was played out differently and had more depth.

To my surprise I loved this book. It was a little slow in places but definitly got better. The ending was really heartwarming.
I'm still skeptical as to reading another N.Sparks novel.

The story was amazing and kept me enthralled the entire time i was reading. This is one that I had been putting off reading for a while now, and im happy I finally got around to reading it. I havent felt this memorized about a book in a long time ( i also didnt feel my heart breaking when I started breaking the spine to feel more close to the story😊). This one will stay with me for a while.

I can't change what's happened to me in my life, or make what's not occurred take place. But I can't say I like it, or accept it, or believe it's for the best. I don't and never shall, not even if I'm damned for it.
