I LOVED this book...if you are looking for a true story that will make you feel liberated and desperately anxious and so very uplifted all at the same time this is the one. I was sad when the book ended - I wanted to find out more about Rsynor as Mx her husband.... I wasn‘t ready to leave them.

Do you believe in Love at First sight?
Laurie sees a man outside of her bus window one day and after only brief eye contact she falls head over heels in love with the stranger. After spending a year searching crowds, parties and streets for his face - her best friend and roommate, introduces her new boyfriend, Jack, to Laurie.... if only she knew that her new boyfriend is the man from the bus. The man that Laurie has been dreaming about!

The storyline is good with a twisting plot which keeps you constantly guessing but I am not sure how invested I was in the characters... some of the plot was perhaps a little too unbelievable and some of the reactions from characters not very plausible, having said that I did enjoy it! Mel is happily married to Ben, with 2 little girls and a teenage son she is blissfully happy and living in suburbia.

Mon- Friday she goes to work as a finance clerk and at weekends she treats herself to a frozen pizza and a bottle of vodka... her life is set in an isolated routine of predictability, until that is one of her co workers Raymond reach‘s out to her and takes the time to see her, really see her and his small acts of kindness build into the first real friendship Eleanor has ever really known...

Such a clever read- from page one you know the children are dead. The nanny killed them in a brutally and bloody way, but this is just the start of the story which you unravel to find out why?
Throughout the book - the way the children died stayed with me.... lurking in the background, so even the lovely bits, the bits about the family‘s happy times are tainted by the first chapter, the horror you know is to come....

Cathythoughts I thought it was very good too 👍🏻 4y
Abel123 @Cathythoughts it was dark but really made you think... 4y

So your married...., your husband then says he‘s leaving - he still loves you, he‘s just taking a six month break - what would you do?

This story is about Hugh and Amy and what happens in the six months that they are on a break. You will see that a lot can happen in six-months, when Hugh returns will he be the same man that Amy married?
The Break is a funny family story, that‘s not about falling in love but about staying in love.

Essentially this book seems to be about an unhappy, divorced woman who is a little too obsessed with her husband‘s new fiancé.... but read on! It‘s written in a very easy to read format.
It appears that Vanessa had it all in the beginning - an attentive and successful husband and a lovely comfortable life. Now divorced, she seems obsessive and unstable -she has a very unhealthy interest in Nellie, the young teacher her husband is about to marry.

After arriving in Auschwitz in 1942, Lale was given the job of tattooist. He met and fell in love with Gita at Auschwitz and their story which was gathered over years of interviews and fact checked with hundreds of documents will draw you in and not only make your heart break but will make your heart sing....

This is one of my top ten books of all time - The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. Set in Afghanistan in 1975 - the story starts with twelve year old Amir and his friend Hassan. An unspeakable event after a kite flying competition shatters their friendship and changes their lives forever.

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I‘ve been meaning to read this one for years!! 4y

This thought provoking story is based at the only women‘s health clinic in Mississippi where fifteen year old Wren has been brought to the clinic to get the birth control pill when a gunman breaks in and takes the staff and the patients hostage. The story allows us to hear everyone‘s back story at the clinic that day including Wren‘s father Hugh a police negotiator who finds himself negotiating with the gunman to save his daughters life.
