I'm having a heckuva time finishing No Time Like the Past, I've just been too busy. But it is still on my #wintergames tbr. But as part of this amazing series, Jodi Taylor releases short stories on Christmas often about Christmas, many of the books highlighted in green. This year, Christmas Pie will be released on Christmas Day. So I'm adding them all to my #wintergames tbr, as I would love to relisten to them! #snowangels #serieslove2023

Candidly, I‘ve lost the ability to properly review these books. It‘s my favorite audiobook series; I‘m always so happy to be immersed in Max‘s world.

If pressed, criticisms include:
•This installment‘s a bit meandering.
•There‘s one problematic sentence, though I forget the content now. I don‘t think it was particularly egregious - just not especially *aware.*
•I‘m unsure about the last words, which (paraphrasing) once spoken can‘t be unspoken.

monalyisha There was also a markedly-awkward lack of Leon (though I suspect the reason is that he‘ll be *very* present in Book 7). 5mo

julesG I find it hard to review this series too. For the sane reasons. You're right, sometimes I notice a sentence that's more 😬. But it's forgotten by the end of the book. 5mo

julesG Could have been me, indeed. @Sapphire St Mary's was my Covid/Lockdown series. I've re-read/listened to the books so often by now when my daughter listens to one of the audiobooks I instantly know which one it is by catching only a snippet. 4mo

We loved it.

My daughter hasn't read the Time Police books yet. Following the timeline of the characters she should start with them now. I envy her the possibility, because I read the books in order of publication.

julesG @TrishB That's where you should start. Time Police is introduced in book 4, but gets its own spin-off series between books 9 and 10. The spin-off series shouldn't be read before book 9 (spoilers). For me this is the perfect palate cleanser or comfort read. I see its flaws but I can ignore them. (you know me, it doesn't happen often) 8mo

Happy Pub Day to the 14th novel in The Chronicles of St Mary's series!

Wanted to start the day with an immersion reading/re-read, but have to wait until the US crosses the dateline for the Audible pre-order to be fulfilled. 🙄🤬
