Two women writers who push the boundaries of narrative fiction. Two bright #yellowcovers.

vivastory I really need to check out Miranda July. Carrie Brownstein mentions her numerous times in her memoir. 7y
merelybookish @vivastory Her stuff is pretty weird. I havent read this collection but I really liked her novel The First Bad Man. Her stuff is pretty weird and I can imagine someone not liking it. But her weirdness is also super honest and fearless which I appreciate. 7y
vivastory @merelybookish I enjoy weird. It was her novel that sounded really interesting to me. Will definitely be looking into it. 7y

Lindy Ooo! Nice pairing. I loved both of these. 7y
merelybookish @erzascarletbookgasm Right! Who needs pictures when you have a bold yellow cover. 7y
merelybookish @Lindy They are both on my #tbr but have really like some of their other books. 7y

My lovely #textonlycover copy of "The original of Laura"!
I love the words, Nabokov's poetry and especially the name (the same as mine!).

I absolutely love the simplicity of this #textonlycover -- It's one of the main reasons I got this book (that and it's just a handy reference to have around). #booktober

BookInMyHands I have this copy too, I just love it! 8y

I wasn't sure about this book, even most of the way through, but was glad I read it. The character studies were really more important than the stories, which is probably what made it feel different. #textonlycover #booktober

Give Me Liberty | Rose Wilder Lane

Love this book by my fave heroine, Rose Wilder Lane (Laura Ingalls Wilder's daughter). It's the story of how she came to reject communism after having spent significant time in Russia. #textonlycover #booktober
