This book is deeply disturbing and I can see why King pulled it from shelves. However, it is an interesting look at what drives us to violence and the secrets we keep close to us. The writing is good, but the pacing and structure weren‘t 100% working for me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #stephenkingreadingchallenge

'Salem's Lot | Stephen King

Vampire books aren‘t usually my thing. But this was so good. The atmosphere was nearly stifling as the book drew to the climax and it was delightfully gory and chilling. The beginning was slow, but I was hooked at the end. #stephenkingreadingchallenge
