Great book when you start teaching children about choosing between good and bad, reflecting about past mistakes and becoming a better person.

Helps you to understand what true biblical repentance is and what it is not. Also helpful to see what false repentance. Very practical in its application

A good compilation and follow up to Rescuing Jesus. Though it did help to confirm I am not evangelical in any form.

#OctoberXFiles Day 16: Gershon was bad-tempered, thoughtless, and without a smidgen of remorse. He would bundle up all of his misbehaviors in a sack and toss it mindlessly into the sea during Rosh Hashanah, like discarding his #Demons. The basic act of sweeping away one‘s misdeeds, putting them in a sack, throwing them into the sea – is a manifestation of this reification of evil & #demons, powerfully symbolic. A really good book about #holiness. This #theologicallysound book gives a thorough explanation on the meaning of holiness, the reasons for holiness, and how to #pursuit holiness. It's #convicting and it made me examined the areas of my life that needs changes. #bookstagram #booknerd #bibliophage #librarybooks #audiobook #nonfiction #Christianity #God #holyliving #JesusChrist #bible #readforlife #repentance #Godsforgiveness #read150 #calgarylibrary

Ch.13 Gryffindor Versus Ravenclaw #repentance
Poor Hermione. She can't even join in the celebration of Gryffindor's Quidditch win because no repentance is acceptable to Ron, since it is believed that Crookshanks has killed Scabbers.Draco Malfoy and his squad pretend to be Dementors in order to throw Harry off his game. Discovered and punished. Repentance forthcoming? #hpchapteraday

Finally caught up on writing out my notes 🤦🏻‍♀️ I find this section of the book exciting because if you don't read the book and just watch the movie you miss out on so much of the story! You never know that McGonagall takes Harry's broom from him, or that Harry's first full bodied patronus is for Slytherins playing a joke, or Sir Cadogan, or most importantly Lee Jordan's commentary on the Firebolt😂 #hpchapteraday #repentance

lamaman2boys I'm listening to this with my oldest son& we just got to this chapter! I need a reason to drive him around so we can finish it! 3y
451Degrees @lamaman2boys that's when I mostly listen is while driving! It's a good way to pass the time since I usually have a thirty minute commute between work and home☺ 3y

#hpchapteraday #repentance This theme hinges on the folly of pride in this chapter. Hermione's pride keeps her from admitting that the evidence points to Crookshanks guilt. You can see she feels repentant in much of her demeanor, but her pride keeps her from being the friend she should be to Ron. Again, a case of risking friendships foolishly. So where we have allowed pride to keep us from expressing our wrongs & what will we do about that?

RadicalReader @Redjewel_7734 shame when people have the evidence right in front of them they would sit there and deny it 3y
