4⭐️ This book is absolutely gorgeous. At times it can be hard to read. The poems are not laid out stanza by stanza but formed around, through, and with each illustration. This at times can make it hard to decide in which direction to read.

4⭐️ Such a fun series. For this series to really work you have to have an excellent illustrator. Luckily it has such a thing. The dumb bunnies are all about play on words. Running into the garage. Gorillas holding a box labeled free kitties. Let‘s just say this would have been a crazy day at the zoo. But it would have also been fun.

5⭐️ How awesome is it for an author to use his own pets as inspiration for a book. What makes this story even better is that he used real pictures of his dog and mice, and layered over/under paint to fill out the graphic. To make his smiling dog look like he is eating a building, or tearing off a dino mouse's tale. Such a wonderful story that you could imagine your granddad telling you. #picturebookchallenge

BookFreakOut Oh my gosh, I read this growing up, and it is so fun! Have you read Cat Kong? 6y
LibrarianRyan @BookFreakOut yes. If I haven't posted the review yet, it will be up by the end of the week. It was fun too! 6y

Abe Lincoln's Dream | Lane Smith

Mehso-so

3⭐️ In history, various dogs would not enter the Lincoln bedroom in the White House. Some believe it to haunted. One little girl meets the ghost of President Lincoln show shares his bad dream. The girl takes him flying over the nation to answer his questions. Only after these questions can he sail off to peace. It‘s an interesting book. But... not one I would use with a lincoln lesson.

4⭐️ Do you know what happens when you accidentally squish a sasquatch? Well until this book I didn‘t either. But buses can get kind of crazy, and when Sasquatch gets squished, it will take all the riders to smooch him back again. A fun book perfect for bedtime.

The Absolutely Awful Alphabet | Mordicai Gerstein

4⭐️ This is a zany tongue twister. It‘s an alphabet book, where every letter is a being with some peculiar personality traits that has its eye on the next letter. A very long run on sentence, but a big pile of fun nevertheless.
