so-soMeh. The writing is lovely but it took forever for anything slightly interesting to happen. Lots of telling rather than showing & the romance was rather unconvincing. I've found every Kearsley book I've read to be somewhat dull or boring. I only read this one because it was the book club selection. #romantsy #orsbc

Dogearedcopy I absolutely agree with you! I only read one (Ghost of a Roman soldier at a Scottish archaeological dig) but it is so tame and disappointing that I've never felt inclined to read anything more of hers :-/ (edited) 7y
