pickThis is the second of Rowell's books I've read, and she is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Rowell's writing is vivid and emotional, bringing her characters and their feelings to life. I felt a strong connection with Cath, having been a fan fiction writer myself. With plenty of references to fandom culture sprinkled throughout their dialogue and inner thoughts, Elle and Darien's voices radiate with the type of passion that characterizes hardcore fans.
