Today I finished the last March back issue of Real Simple, as well as this sad and insightful collection of vignettes about a young Hispanic girl in Chicago.

A couple days ago I got a free copy of the April 2024 issue in an attempt to lure me back. Nice try but no.

lazydaizee Looks interesting. 1mo
julieclair Congrats on making it through your March magazine stack! And I'm glad you finished your #ReadOrDonate book, too. Was it a good kind of sad, or a depressing kind of sad? 1mo
Susanita @julieclair It‘s well written but TBH I found it a bit depressing. 1mo
julieclair Thanks… good to know. I have heard good things about this book, but I generally shy away from books that are on the depressing side. 1mo

This time of year @julieclair it's not so much #MonthlyMagazineBlitz that is needed but #GardenCatalogBlitz. I'm working through these.

Friend turned me on to Diane in Denmark on YouTube and she's really helped me with Decluttering. https://youtu.be/Myu6xfGipZA?si=jYgx1MNTwAOnQd8A

julieclair What a lovely photo! That seed catalog cover is gorgeous. And thanks for the heads up about Diane in Denmark! I have never heard of her before, but I‘m following her now. She seems so approachable and realistic! 1mo
Crinoline_Laphroaig @julieclair I just love her! Especially how she doesn't try to sell you things. 1mo
julieclair @Crinoline_Laphroaig I like how she references FlyLady concepts. I have been a FlyLady fan for years. 1mo

This collection suffers a little in the compilation, I think. By the end, they seemed like the same story with just some details being changed. It also leads me to believe that everyone in England hates each other. I‘m giving it a pick for the craft, but maybe leave some reading time between stories. In any event, it‘s back in the LFL.

Meanwhile, I‘ve finished one lonely Real Simple issue so far this month.

julieclair You‘re making progress! And you‘ll get the magazines done. 👍 1mo

Hello fellow Blitzers! How are your #MonthlyMagazineBlitz efforts going so far this month? I‘m about halfway through my pile so far, but I have a long car ride tomorrow and I‘m hoping to finish a bunch of them.

TheBookHippie Hoping this weekend!!! I‘ve fallen behind 👀 1mo
Roary47 I‘m hoping I can catch up. I only had 2 in February, but still haven‘t finished January. 🫣 1mo
julieclair @TheBookHippie I think I need to build a home in Behind… I‘m always there! 🤪 1mo

julieclair @Roary47 I had the same thing in February… hardly any! But a ton in January and March. 1mo
Crinoline_Laphroaig Im doing pretty good. Cleared out a bunch. But I've always have some English Garden magazines I've kept for reference. Also I'm buying a lot less because I can get most on Libby from my Library. Which is great because magazine prices have gone crazy. 1mo
julieclair @Crinoline_Laphroaig I keep all my genealogy magazines for reference, too. I never thought to use Libby for magazines! Thanks for the tip! 1mo

I should read these books in March, right? Meanwhile, I‘ve got four back issues of Real Simple, and this one from 2009 is actually the newest. #readordonate #monthlymagazineblitz

julieclair Perfect March books! And I bet seeing the new Spring trends for 2009 will be a hoot! 2mo

#MonthlyMagazineBlitz

I dropped mine off yesterday for the month to an English language learners (ELLs) teacher, since my magazines are all food she can use them 🙃

julieclair That‘s a great place to donate them. 👍 I wouldn‘t have thought about the subject matter, but I can totally see why it would have to be on the bland side. 2mo

And just like that I‘m done with #monthlymagazineblitz for February. This was an older issue from when they still had the tear-out page in the back with highlights of some of the articles. Here are some tips on how to create a beautiful #bouquet by matching your flowers with the right vase. #luckyinlove

Crazeedi I have sooooo many vases, this is very cool. I pick flowers as soon as they start coming. Love to have posies on my table! 3mo
