I‘m still quietly cleaning up and cleaning out my book shelves. All while also acquiring new books! I think that‘s called reshaping?
Anyway, this weekend I made a chunk of progress. On Saturday I visited Second Story Books and got a dose of reality about selling books to them, so one went straight to the LFL. ⬇️
On Sunday I donated several RS issues to a special ed teacher for collages, and I‘ve read a few more.

Susanita Second Story Books held an “appraisal event” and I wasn‘t sure what to expect. I arrived to a very full room and watched the appraiser talk to a woman about her items for a good fifteen minutes. The next person took at least half an hour, with fascinating anecdotes interspersed. I knew it would be quite a while before my turn, if it came at all. However, in the process I got a better sense of what might find a market, and I heard the anecdotes. ⬇️ 2d
Susanita I have three old editions that might be worth something…or not. Now I have a better idea what to expect if I want to sell them to SSB or anyone else. I also have an old edition that has a gouge in the front cover, and I know now not to bother with that one. I‘ll read it and stick it in the LFL…eventually. 2d

julieclair Just the other day I was thinking I needed to do a blitz, because my magazines were starting to overflow their basket. (Said blitz has not yet happened… 🙄). I‘m glad you‘ve kept up, and have donated them to a good cause! 13h
julieclair And… how interesting about Second Story Books. I love how you learned a lot just by listening to the appraiser talk to other people. 13h
