pick1st book in the Andy Carpenter series (#SeriesLive2024). This was a bit of a wild ride. I look forward to reading more in this series. Reminds me a bit of the old McBride movies starring John Larroquette.

pickI remember my mom watching reruns of the Perry Mason TV show when I was a kid, & when the movies came out, we‘d hang out by the TV to watch Raymond Burr as Mason save the day.
This is the first time I‘ve read any of the series. Mason‘s skills are extraordinary as a lawyer; the helpless female personas were a little grating. But, this definitely had a twist I did not see coming. I just wish I liked the voice narration better. Pick, but barely.
pickSomehow I managed to finish this book despite this dog demanding many snuggle breaks.
Even though I‘m not a big romance reader I enjoy this series for the humor and meaningful sub plots. This one tackled the school to prison pipeline.
And just when I thought I finished the series, there‘s one more now. 🤬😂 Sorry #SeriesLove2023.
