#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book:15 Ch. 11-15: That Chang is a weasel. Why do I feel as though he is part of Purity? He wants to do all those shows which would give his cause plenty of airtime. And he‘s such a pain in the butt I want him to be guilty. I don‘t think the deputy mayor is part of it - but boy will she be ticked if I‘m right. ⬇️

StayCurious It‘s funny that Eve and Roarke are so terrified of being parents but yet they kinda act as such for Jamie and the rest of their motley crew. They take care of their family. I laughed at Eves reaction to Mavis‘ news. She‘s funny. 2d
LiseWorks I really loved it when McNabb declared his love for Peabody in these chapters. 2d
LiseWorks Love the Carol Burnette Meem. Yep, that was me with my girls at times lol 2d
Ddzmini I really enjoy watching this unfold and Eve and Mavis are so cute love their relationship especially with Mavis prego and excited, while Eves skepticism towards that excitement is hilarious I loved these characters for so many reasons 1d

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 15 Ch.6-10: so glad Jamie is back - I like revisiting old cases and characters. But I wonder if all those e-men together is a smart idea. They‘re about to do something very dangerous with that infected unit. And boy, will Eve be pissed. She is on the right track linking the victims of the victims. She caught on to the third person who was targeted, even if she was too late. Just give her a bit more time, fellas.

LiseWorks Oh, Eve is going to be pissed! 1w
TheAromaofBooks @LiseWorks - Right!? The whole time I was reading this I was thinking about how mad she is going to be!! I love Eve and Roarke but sometimes reading about them makes me super thankful for my incredibly non-volatile marriage 😂 1w
Ddzmini @TheAromaofBooks completely agree I have enough with my hubby doing safety inspection and talking about those 🤣 Eve definitely has her hands full 🙌🏽 1w

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 15 Ch.1-5: sorry for the late post! Just like in the book, this heatwave has me battling headaches…luckily I haven‘t gone crazy yet 😅 Man, what a start to this book - first, poor Trueheart takes out a raging drug dealer but we find out something more is going on - Eve hands over the drug dealer‘s computer to EDD and then a detective goes batty and there‘s a hostage situation. ⬇️

StayCurious Something affected both the dealer and the detective and the computer is the only thing linking the two. Could a computer virus translate to real life? It‘s not that far fetched (remember the case with the suicides that were brought on by a computer program?) Now Eve has to get to the bottom of things - to clear Trueheart, to vindicate the EDD detective who was actually a victim, and to stop anyone else from getting infected. 2w
LiseWorks Wow! Talk about subliminal messaging. There is no possibility that this is a targeted thing because you don't know who will be looking at the computer. 2w
TheAromaofBooks The idea of catching a virus from your computer is SO creepy!!! 2w
Ddzmini So I don‘t this I want to go on my computer now 👀 2w

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 14 Ch.16-end and review: these last chapters chasing Julianna were a fast paced ride with Eve so close but still a step behind. Julianna is cunning and clever and lucky as well. But she can‘t resist going after what is most important to Eve: Roarke. In this at least Eve is prepared and the two foes finally get their show off and Eve finally gets Julianna back in a cage where she belongs. I liked this instalment ⬇️

StayCurious I liked seeing Peabody‘s parents and seeing her grow into her own by closing her own case. I liked that she was finally in a good place with McNab. I liked seeing Eve and Roarke celebrating 1 year. I‘m looking forward to seeing more for our characters. 1mo
Ddzmini I really enjoyed read a book with strong characters not only the main but the suspect as well.. yes Eve solved this and Roarke didn‘t die but the journey for the beginning was interesting with all the side stories, like Peabody and her family. Really liked this one and can‘t wait to start the next book 1mo
LiseWorks I loved how we got to see Peabody and family more. And her solving a case. The Dallas chapters were tough. But Eve came through with Roarke by her side. The 1st anniversary was cool. 1mo
TheAromaofBooks This may have been my favorite out of the series so far. Julianna was a fabulous villain, and I adored meeting Peabody's parents. I also loved McNabb being so supportive of Peabody while she was breaking her first case. Roarke and Eve having their romantic 1st anniversary was super sweet, too. Super fun read!! 1mo

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 14 Ch.11-15: Eve returns to Dallas, where her life really began, and faces the traumas of her past. Some very difficult memories surface but Roarke is with her to help her through. I really felt for both of them here. Eve has made so much progress in the past year and having Roarke as support makes all the difference. ⬇️

StayCurious Eve very nearly catches Julianna but the vixen sets Eve up to fall and Eve is injured in the pursuit. Pretty cocky of Julianna. If her timing had been off her trap wouldn‘t have worked. This will only make Eve try harder to get her. 1mo
LiseWorks Those chapters in Dallas actually made for a tough read. How can people treat a child like that for their own benefits? I was really glad Roarke was with her. And Juliana 's game is wicked. 1mo

TheAromaofBooks I'm really enjoying the Julianna vs. Eve aspect of the story. And even though I know Roarke isn't going to get killed (I mean, he's in allll the rest of the books haha) I'm still nervous!!! 1mo
Ddzmini @TheAromaofBooks I agree with you it‘s interesting to see and I can‘t wait to find out what happens next 1mo

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 14 Ch.6-10: Ooh, poor Eve she has to return to Dallas. That won‘t be easy. I‘m glad she has the support of Mira and Roarke. And that she acknowledges she can‘t do it on her own. I was charmed by Mira‘s husband. And I feel bad for Peabody‘s father - since he was only trying to help. I wonder if Eve provoking Julianna is a good idea though. The lady killer‘s off kilter already. No need to poke the bear…is there?

LiseWorks I was surprised by Peabody 's Dad. Eve's reaction was very dramatic to me, but I can see her view on not letting anybody know about her childhood. 1mo
Ddzmini @LiseWorks idk if you‘ve been through a traumatic event and are the strong I‘ve done everything on my own with no help type of person her response was kind of normal… you have learn how to let others do things for you or accept help and for some that‘s really difficult 1mo
StayCurious @Ddzmini I did find it was completely expected of the character as well. Poor Eve is always so afraid of people seeing this part of her, which she considers a weakness. 1mo
Ddzmini @StayCurious I agree 🙌🏽 1mo

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 14 Ch.1-5: a lot happened in our first 5 chapters. Eve trusts Peabody with her first case (very exciting); Eve, Roarke and McNab meet Peabody‘s bewitching parents; and a killer from Eve‘s past who was just released from prison makes her return to killing by poisoning a man at his birthday party. It‘s interesting that we once again know who the killer is. But do we know her motives for killing or is she just crazy?

LiseWorks Lol, I think that was a revenge killing. I live Peabody 's parents. Roarke actually thinks he was bewitched. 2mo
StayCurious @LiseWorks yeah that was a hoot 2mo

ShananigansReads I can‘t wait for my library copy to come in so I can catch up. I can‘t wait to meet Peabody‘s parents. 2mo
TheAromaofBooks Peabody's parents are fantastic. I honestly got a little choked up when she gave Eve the gift and told her that it was still in her family 💕 2mo
Ddzmini First Eve gets convinced to invite Peabody parents too dinner then Roarke invites them too stay with them … a true mom right there 🤣👍🏼📖 2mo
