I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new. Don‘t judge me - I have a lot of books. Join in if you want!

Sunday - that's all I need for now.
Reading for escapism this week. If you need me, I'll be on Hydra.
Bit of a weird one this. Subject matter is close to my heart, the writing is lyrical at times & certain passages did transport me there. BUT at times I had to question whether Durrell actually liked the Greek Islands in any way - he wrote so many off as nothing special & was downright rude about some! You'd think he was in mid-century Slough! And at times I actively disliked his privileged white male attitude with its traces of colonialism. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Desperately missing and longing for my beloved Greek Islands right now - especially my 2nd home, Kos. So just had to treat myself to this gorgeous volume to help ease the pain.
