pickI very nearly slept on this #gillershortlist title and it‘s a total five-star read. Casper goes home and has to confront A LOT: his dad‘s nascent dementia, his unresolved feelings about his twin‘s long ago disappearance, feelings of unbelonging, and conflict about his own identity. At times it reads like a family drama, at times like a thriller. Wholly beautiful.
