No, sorry. I hate giving up on books, especially ones that sound right up my alley. Librarian thieves stealing books from alternate dimensions? Brilliant concept. But the characters are so flat and whiney, the action scenes are interrupted by unneeded exposition and the story begins to drag early on.

I really wanted to get into this one, but it just lost me too early and my tbr is calling.

My sweet tribe got me a kindle for my birthday this year. Since our library only stocks books 1 and 3, I went and got The Masked City immediately and raced through it. The second book in The Invisible Library series, it's a madcap adventure with librarian spies, dragons, fae, an alternate Venice and more. I'm thinking about diving into this series after I'm done with the Meg books. It reminds of the Librarians series a little bit from what little I've read of the synopsis. Have any of you book-friends out there read this series, or the first book at least? Would you guys recommend this?
