Walking the Gulf Coast beach today being reminded of Mary Anning's love of fossil hunting. Fairly literal interpretation of #LoveontheRocks in this #histfic telling of the real woman whose discoveries along the cliffs on the coast of England in the early 1800s led to a new scientific understanding of extinction. #FeelintheLove @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Eggs
Biography of Mary Anning who discovered the first dinosaur skeleton and then numerous other fossils.
Interesting, but the author is not a historian and didn't have the necessary understanding of the historical context. Also, she makes a lot of unsubstantiated assumptions about what Mary and others were thinking and feeling.
Finished. In really enjoyed reading this. I‘d like to add more to my weird collections, not animal things unless they can be got safely and without harm but more plant and rock and other oddities.
Abigail says “talk to the butt”
She is the most impossible photo subject….just won‘t sit still. My daughter has a better camera and she still wouldn‘t cooperate. Such a sweet diva!
This is the closest I have got to Barde. Poor little guy is getting more confident and trusting. He was at the back door talking (literally meowing back and forth) to Salem and Mione this morning. Still can‘t touch him, he doesn‘t trust us that much but we are making progress
Happy holidays from my family to yours. May your day be one that is gentle and kind.
Our days has been good so far. Considering my youngest wasn‘t able to sleep at all last night, not even for a short time.
This is her collection of games. I think we will be playing loads of games in the coming year.
Another morning at the hurdles at our local GP. The poor kid is so up and down with his toe after surgery. I‘d have hoped it would have healed by now but no….im getting a ton of reading done….but bid rather a kid with a healed foot.
Giving this one a go now.
