This is some lovely type design.
Not technically a font though.
There's a difference, and I'm married to a Graphic Designer who does both, so I had to say it.

GoldenGirl I have a huge stack of books that my husbands grandma brought me from an auction and this one is in it! 7y
Abby-J That's a beautiful edition. I am obsessed with Andrew Lang's chromatic Fairy Books. I have been buying them one by one every other month or so. I have just more than half, now. 7y
BookInMyHands @GoldenGirl That's awesome! How fortunate to have a grandma-in-law that finds books for you too! 7y
BookInMyHands @Abby-J Good for you! How many are in the set? One for every color of the rainbow? 7y
Abby-J @BookInMyHands I want to say that there are 12. There are your usual rainbow colors plus some odd ones like brown and lilac. 7y

#Fortheloveoffont - Spine edition
I am always drawn in by a interesting spine when I am in bookshops. I love beautiful books, and the spine is often a good indicator that a book has a lovely front cover 😍

Lynnsoprano I wonder sometimes if publishers realize how important spines are in attracting attention to their books. 7y
mom2bugnbee @Lynnsoprano Agreed. I'm drooling over The Princess & the Goblin! 7y
LazyOwl Great spines, very enticing 7y

Kalalalatja @Lynnsoprano I think they must do, but in general it is as if there has been a greater focus on making books beautiful objects. So they must put some thoughts into the spines as well. It is the first thing we see of a book most of the time, so they are so important! 7y
Kalalalatja @mom2bugnbee it is from Folio Society. They make some lovely spines (and books) 👍 7y
Kalalalatja @LazyOwl thank you! 7y
