I really enjoyed this one!
Serial Killers and Profiling are my favourite genres in fiction, so I thought, this, being the birth of behavioural analysis would either kill that love or amplify it. Glad to report the latter.
Going through all the different cases and scenarios, seeing the behind the scenes of what was put into creating a department in the FBI solely focusing on criminal behaviour and background. Fascinating from start to finish.

I've seen the movie a million times, so when I saw the audio was available I had to give it a try. I was not disappointed!
Fast paced, thrilling and almost as good as the movie.
Yes, I liked the movie better, especially the ending 😄 But mostly the movie adaptation sticks to the book. Only a few deviation.

I waited forever to get this Audiobook, because I like listening to True Crime (feels more real to ke that way). But now I want an actual copy of the book so I can highlight and annotate my thoughts and feelings.

This was so informative and interesting. I learned so much!
Will definitely be re-reading it once I can get my hands on a copy.

Enchanted_Bibliophile I can see why Val is such a good fiction writer - she has all this knowledge backing her up and an imagination to cover the rest. 10mo
Clwojick Well done! 10mo

I can't believe I've never read this before. I think I've seen so many adaptations that I thought I did.
I enjoyed this quick voyage around the world, adventurous with a hint of suspense.

PaperbackPirate I always see hot air balloons on the cover of this book so I was surprised they never flew in one. But I liked it too. 🧐 (edited) 10mo
Enchanted_Bibliophile @PaperbackPirate I've seen an adaptation with a hot air balloon once. But I was also surprised at how different the book and adaptation are. 10mo
PaperbackPirate That‘s surprising. I wonder how the author would feel about that. 10mo

Enchanted_Bibliophile @PaperbackPirate It took me a while to find it again. But it was the 1956 film starring David Niven. 10mo
PaperbackPirate Oh yes! The movie was different! Maybe that‘s why people add the balloon to the cover. 10mo
Enchanted_Bibliophile @PaperbackPirate I might have been a movie cover edition? 10mo

I should have read this way back when I read Vampire Academy. Back then school settings & Vampires was my thing.
This was a decent story, but the writing was off and the plot was way too predictable.
I'll read the second one and then decide if I'm donating the books or not.

This was a stunner! Beautifully written with powerful characters and a compelling historical backdrop, I was blown away. The setting is unique (I can‘t recall reading a book set in Kansas in a long time), the pace compulsive and the spice white hot 🔥 From the #happyendingsbookclub from the Nowhere Bookstore #indiebookstore. #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks #Pantone2023 #fireyred @Clwojick
