This book tells the history of Sicilian mafia, from Garibaldis unification of Italy, through fascism under Mussolini, the exodus to America, internal wars, mass killings, corruption, heroin and right up to the maxi trials held in a bunker and beyond. The book reads more like a giant essay with a huge amount of info and names and I found it hard to take it all in...

so-soUm die Wahrheit zu sagen, ich war nicht sicher ob ich das Buch fertig lesen würde. Dickies Geschichte der sizilianischen Mafia ist sehr detailliert und es kommen hunderte Personen vor, die meisten sind nach einigen Seiten bereits ermordet. Irgendwann konnte ich kaum noch folgen. Außerdem war die eBook Version furchtbar formatiert, was den Lesefluss nicht unbedingt erleichtert hat.
so-soLoved the topic, but the writing was mediocre. Carlo uses three or four words when one will do. It was short though so I finished it. Probably only worth it if you're really interested in the American mafia.
