Harry Potter: fun book | J.K. Rowling
post image

1. It‘s a toss-up between Toms Midnight Garden by Phillipa Pearce & the Oz series by L Frank Baum.
2. Swimming at Grose Wold & Yarramundi in summer, exploring the bush & picnic lunches.
3. Raking the grass after dad mowed. Hated it.
4. Marbles. I had an ice cream container full of them, clearies & bonkers, steelies & milkies & cats eyes.
5. Has to be Harry Potter!

TheDaysGoBy Ugh totally didn‘t think of raking until I saw your post! Must‘ve blocked from my memory I hated it so much 😂 5y
Lizpixie @TheDaysGoBy Closely followed by picking up said mounds of grass and putting them in garbage bags held by my sister! Could taste grass for days. Oh, and the getting on my knees and using a hatchet to do the edges coz we didn‘t have a whipper snipper is also up there🌱🤧⛏ 5y

Okay, I‘ll play. #HelloThursday #ChildhoodEdition @wanderinglynn

1. Where the Red Fern Grows (I still have my copy).

2. Spending summers at Lake George (upstate NY). I still love going there, although less frequently now.

3. Cleaning my room.

4. Legos, Teddy Ruxpin, or Cabbage Patch Doll.

wanderinglynn Thanks for playing! 💜 5y
dgingo @wanderinglynn Sure! Thanks for creating these and getting me to reminisce a bit. 5y
Sharpeipup I visited Lake George during the Fall & have wanted to go back one summer... 5y
dgingo @Sharpeipup You should! If you can, rent a boat for the day (or a half-day) and picnic/cruise the lake. And even if you can‘t stay there, as it‘s quite pricey, have lunch/enjoy the view at The Sagamore (nearby in Bolton Landing). 5y
