Othello book club was fun! Reenactments, hotseating, discussions: is it about race? Is it not about race? Do you pity Othello? Could it all happen now?
We had a blast! #bookclubbing

Pickpick

Published at the height of 80s glitz and excess, Bonfire is very much a product of it's time. Still, its scathing and merciless exploration of greed, fame, power, class and race remain as relevant today as during the Regan era. Though certainly not without its blind spots, Bonfire is a highly enjoyable read for mild misanthropes and those who appreciate top notch writing chops. Highly quotable! #LitsyAtoZ #bookclubbing

#bookclubbing last night ?❤️?
We read "The encounter" at the beginning. That's the poem he wrote to his wife Vera, after they met for the first time.
"...For long? For ever? Far off
I wander, and strain to hear..."
the movement of the stars above our encounter
and what if you are to be my fate…"
