Silly and fun, this is a story of Ms Rapscott, the headmistress of a school for children with very busy parents, and her five (or really four) new charges. We found it amusing and the narrator, although a little off putting at first, really grew on me.

A coming of age novel that I was really looking forward to reading. Nine girls navigate their hopes and dreams against a backdrop of a scandal at the boarding school. The girls discover their voices and their power. The story shifted perspectives several times and the intriguing start had me hooked. But I started to get lost halfway, forgot the characters names and wanted to give up. I persevered til the end but forgettable.

A cute little middle grade story of friendship at a boarding school. Only mild conflict between characters that gets resolved rather easily.

Danielle, your parcel arrived! I love the recipes - I‘ve always wondered exactly what a “pot roast” is, now I can cook one myself😀 and the noodle salad sounds yum😋 The book is beautiful and I‘m delighted with all the lovely extras you included. Thank you so much for all of it and for being such a generous swap partner.😘

Lindy I listened to Gansworth read his memoir and then went to a website to see his artwork; it‘s better to have it in hard copy, I think, even though I really liked the audiobook. Hope you enjoy the book. 6mo
Ddzmini There is another package on the way I‘m so happy you received the first one … enjoy the recipes I‘ll let you know when I get a chance to make your biscuits, soup, and cake 6mo
CarolynM @Lindy There are a lot of illustrations. I don‘t think I‘d get their significance if I had to look them up after reading. The book looks fascinating, I‘m looking forward to getting in to it. 6mo

Ddzmini Thank you 😊 I‘m still watching it on this side as well 6mo
Centique Pot roast was my go to recipe when I was a uni student and had an electric frypan in my flat. I never seem to do it as well these days on the gas hob. Let me know if you make it and the recipe works well! ☺️ 6mo

Definite Twilight vibes...with a darker twist and slightly more mature main characters. The monster lore took on a refreshing note form other books I've read and gave the story more freedom. This is the first book YA romance book I've read in a few years but, it was fast paced and didn't make me hate any characters for being whiny or bratty. You appreciate each character for their own agendas.
