Camp Mirror Lake, is the site of a horror simulation game, where Charity plays the “final girl” in each evenings games, which is made complete with fake blood/gore and many scares. Charity and the rest of the crew, enjoy creating fear and terror for their guests.

pickI loved that Eva felt so realistic, not flawless. I adored her relationship with her daughter, they had several fun conversations. Cece was a hilarious secondary character.
This was easy to read, pretty light story. Romance was cute.
The last part of the book wasn't as strong as the beginning. There was some unnecessary drama, nothing major, but I personally just hate miscommunication.

pickIt took me a while to get into this. I don‘t think I remembered book 2 very well and it must have bothered me that the main characters were all separated. Once they started to get back together I was more interested and read faster. I really liked some of the new characters in this book. Somehow fairly early on I felt that this was not a concluding volume and went to Deonn‘s website, which led me to her Instagram, which confirmed: 4-book series.
pickI was SUPER looking forward to this, and thought I was getting a conclusion to a trilogy, so the clearly-not-a-conclusion ending was frustrating. Add to that, this was definitely longer than it should have been and STILL didn‘t feel like it did much (other than a lot of stuff happening in the background but not on the page, and a couple of jaw-dropping revelations at the end). I enjoyed seeing Bree grow into her powers but ⤵️
