Prairiegirl_reading People laugh at me because I‘m careful not to crack spines! I like to keep my books pristine! I did have a copy of the outsiders that fell apart because I read it so much but it was replaced by the 50th anniversary edition a few years ago. 2y

Yuki_Onna @Traci1 @Prairiegirl_reading Same here! 😊 In my teens my books were torn, highlighted and battered - but sometime I suddenly couldn't stand the look of shelves full of battered, well-read books anymore...
Now my books need to stay pristine.
The look of the book doesn't say anything about the passion with which it was read in my case... 😉 2y

I enjoyed this one. It just worked for me. Enjoyed the characters, the plot, and the collaboration story within a story. Will definitely look for more of DeFino‘s books.

Y'all, this book. There were no fantastic plot twists, which I usually love, but this is just a beautiful, beautiful book. Beautiful story, beautiful writing, beautifully evoked setting. Love, love, love.
