Sproul outlines six major differences between the Roman Catholic Church and the Reformation, emphasizing that these are not minor issues that can easily be overlooked. On the contrary, they are significant matters that lie at the foundation of Christianity. This makes it an excellent primer for Christians interested in exploring these differences.

Saw this recommended a bunch. Engaging and pretty solid.

MaureenMc I haven‘t read this one yet but it‘s on my shelf. 1mo
BethM @MaureenMc it definitely held my attention. I was raised Catholic and left, but am now coming back to my faith. Until recently I‘d never experienced anti Catholic sentiment so this perspective really captivated me. 1mo
MaureenMc @BethM I‘ve read Hahn‘s The Lamb‘s Supper & would recommend it. It seems that many of the current “famous” Catholics are converts who grew up with, or were at least surrounded by, anti-Catholic beliefs. I find their stories quite fascinating, actually. Godspeed on your journey. ❤️ 1mo

★★★☆☆

I listened to the audiobook. I didn't engage as deeply with its ideas as I would have liked. I hope to re-read it at some point.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This isn‘t an easy book to read.It is classic C.S. Lewis nonfiction: a strong mix of philosophy, science, dry humor, and faith.I'm glad I read this with a group because if I had been reading it on my own, I would not have continued to fight my way through to understanding. That being said, I love the way Lewis constructs an argument. He will win me over with his logical reasoning every time. You'll have to work for it, but I recommend it.

This classic C.S. Lewis (but I repeat myself) book starts with very simple ideas and uses them to reveal profound truths of our place and role in the universe. Lewis‘ humble, curious, questioning conversational style really makes the text accessible, which figures because the first few chapters were written as a radio address. No preaching to the choir, just an invitation for a broad audience to ponder serious questions.
