I am posting one book per day from my extensive, and ever growing, TBR shelves. Some are new and some I've had so long I don't remember why I bought them.

Absolutely loving this series. This volume is one story broken into 7 parts. It's an all out war when one of the lords is building a weapon cache to take over his enemies. So not only does Usagi fight him but joins forces with the ninjas and his two other friends. Very sad at the end but losses are to be expected when fighting to save someone's life is involved.

Lots of action in this volume. Usagi of course meets foes on his journeys but it's sad because he little dinosaur friend moves on and now Usagi is alone again. Wonderful graphics and great stories. Loved the TMNT/Usagi mash up story at the end.

I'm on a serious Manga kick. This series has way more depth than I was expecting. Glad my local library has them all. I'm a dog trainer but I don't mind anthropomorphic stories because I know the difference. I believe some people do it in real life because of wishful thinking. Treat animals humanely and accept their real life behaviors and we won't have a problem. *And by accept I don't mean allowing aggression in pets. Find a behaviorist to help.

This book has a lot of writing about the surrounding nature, most of which is beautiful but I did find myself glossing over some of it near the end. A powerful story about humans and animals and how brutal those worlds can be. Who will outsmart the other? The fox (Wulfgar) or the trapper (Scoble)?

Oh so that's how he got his name! lol

Ah getting back into this series! The majority of the book was Usagi reminiscing about when he started training as a samurai, being the king's guard and the reason why he killed the other king's guard two years later. The side stories were great as well especially the Zylla. Wonderful graphics and looking forward to the next one in the series!

This story about a young rabbit and her family is packed full of tough issues which are dealt with in a caring and practical way. Grief, moving, growing up, loss of friendships, new relationships, threat of eviction, and siblings with precarious health are all delved into with a background of danger and adventure. It was almost too much. That said I think kids will like this story.
