Pickpick

This is the summer reading book for Maya‘s middle school, and what an excellent choice! I‘m currently reading another book about the importance of resilience and grit, both of which William has in spades! A powerful story about never giving up and thinking creatively...even when people think you‘re crazy.

#nonfiction2019 - this could fit 3 prompts: uplifting, from another country or survival; I‘ll pick which one later.

huntersmom1977 Oh look WINE 😬✌️ 2w
4thhouseontheleft @huntersmom1977 😂 It‘s actually a dessert wine that has chocolate in it! So yummy. 2w
LibrarianRyan Vey cool. It‘s been made into a movie. 2w
Riveted_Reader_Melissa I didn‘t know there was a young readers edition of this one, it‘s an excellent book! 2w
4thhouseontheleft @LibrarianRyan We will be watching the movie today! 🎥 🍿 @Riveted_Reader_Melissa They did a great job with the YRE. 2w

He writes: If there is no human tinkering with a river's flow, then there will be a riffle-pool sequence for every stretch of river that is five times its width. So if you walk one-hundred yards along a river that is ten feet wide, you should expect to spot two riffle-pool combinations.

@VioletCavalier and I had little wind while aboard the Appledore IV sail-away excursion at the Tall Ship Celebration, but an enjoyable cruise!

TK421 I have this on my tbr stack. I really like this series. 4w
CrowCAH @TK421 thanks for the recommendation! Even though this is the second book, got it at a used book sale, I‘ll be reading the first one first. 4w

Gina I...♡...THIS! Thanks for sharing. I have a pal who loves nature and cats. I will be passing this on! 1mo
keithmalek @Gina Gooley has written four other books of a similar nature. The Lost Art of Reading Nature's Signs, How to Read Nature, The Nature Instinct, and The Natural Navigator. Of those, I read (and loved) the first two. The third one I own but haven't read yet. I also haven't read The Natural Navigator. 1mo
Gina Ooohhhhh thank you. As a nature nut I will definitely be adding that to my tbr. 1mo
