Wow. The care that went into writing about something so harrowing is felt throughout the book. Frankie‘s entire journey was so thoughtfully and well written that I could see and feel and smell everything on the page. War is ugly and it ruins people and to read something so raw, it pulls at your soul and makes you feel everything. Book #11 in 2024 (their faces are intentional)

My daughter loves to draw portraits and she discovered this year in art class she enjoyed watercolors. We picked up some supplies and she saw this 😍😍 instructional painting and had to have the book. Go DK! When my kids were little we had several DK books.

Gissy I‘m glad you liked it. I received one of his artwork last year and I loved it. This time the artist sent me one copy for free when I bought yours. I will buy more because I like his style.
