#trw2017 Kate Thompson travels across a rugged landscape seeking vengeance for her father's murder. #travelingtuesday #yawestern

There is a companion novel being released in November.

EchoLogical I read this and wasn't a huge fan. Kate was kind of annoying and I don't think I like Westerns that much. 😅 7y
Bookzombie @EchoLogical I like Westerns and I gave it three stars when I read it so that seems like I liked it. I think there might have been some stuff I didn't like though. I will read the second one if the library has it. 7y

Bookzombie @EchoLogical @LibrarianRyan As I'm searching my Read list on GR for your challenges, I'm starting to think I need memory enhancers. I can't remember some of them. 😳 7y
LibrarianRyan @Bookzombie you and me both. I have been scrolling for something to fit Killer Tomatoes 7y
WhatDeeReads This was my first western. I loved it!!! I cannot wait for Retribution Rails. 7y

This is my pick for #TravelingTuesday for so many reasons. After a tragedy strikes, Andi‘s estranged dad makes her travel with him from New York to Paris. There she finds a diary of a girl living during French Revolution times and gets caught in her story. There may be some time travel (or is there?)

Also, I was on a plane traveling to my first conference (YA Lit) when I started this book and finished it before I returned home. #TRW2017

athorne This cover is gorgeous. 7y
moranadatter I loved this book! The cover on the edition I read was nowhere near that pretty though. 7y

My #TravelingTuesday pick for #TRW2017 is American Street.

Fabiola Toussaint not only literally travels from Haiti to Detroit, but also goes on a spiritual journey in pursuit of herself, her values, and her American dream.

It‘s also a National Book Award Finalist for Young People‘s Literature.

And it‘s damn beautiful.

EchoLogical Great pick! I loved this book. 7y
WhatDeeReads @EchoLogical I loved it too, even though it broke my heart. I LOVED the Haitian Voodoo. 7y
