• Mary Karr is the queen of sass. She reminds me of a meaner Scout Finch--pinging off her enemies from a chinaberry tree. I love reading about her childhood antics and trespasses. She did what she had to do in order to survive. I'm laughing with her and hurting for her in equal measure. I don't want to return this book to the library. •

ApoptyGina69 I just finished it this morning. Took me more than a month bc I had to keep setting it aside due to brutal content. My aunt recently met Mary Karr at the Literary Sala in San Miguel, MX and pointed me toward her work. 7y
