⭐️⭐️💫

I enjoyed the cozy spice shop setting in Salem and liked learning more about Ayurvedic practices. I also appreciated Tulsi‘s journey to learn more about herself and her family. It just felt overly long to me and fell a bit flat. #amazonfirstreads

"The kindness at the heart of cooking is always the answer when inhumanity seeks to take hold. We will keep on keeping on." -- Bill Penzey #DaysDevotedTo #Kindness @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

Kimzey I‘m a fan of Penzey‘s Spices. Didn‘t know they‘d written a book, which happens to be free with my Audible subscription! Added to my TBR! 12mo
lynneamch Nice! I might have to put that on my Xmas list along with 12mo

The story of a woman trying to find herself and gently reject her family‘s expectations for her to join their business as an Ayurvedic spice healer, there were a lot of plot lines here but ultimately it was a pleasant and entertaining read. An immersive read, basically a coming of age story despite the romance, family drama and humor. Tulsi has been trained all her life to be a spice healer by her ba and single mother, but she always wanted to travel….Then the internet hits their shop, bad press and her mother‘s past love. A very satisfying read.
