Official Wrap-up for the #MiddleGradeMadeEasy portion of #BBRC! These were all solid picks that I really enjoyed, with the exception of Heidi. I'm hoping to read the rest of the Percy Jackson series over winter break.

On to #TeenAngst...highly appropriate as we have our fair share of early teen angst in my home these days! 😂

#MGME

LibrarianRyan Yeahhhh. Congrats. 7d
4thhouseontheleft @LibrarianRyan Thanks! @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I did too! Maya and I both read it in August, it was her summer reading assignment. 6d
Bookzombie I loved Roller Girl! Also Percy Jackson! (edited) 6d

I can't believe October is over already! We even got a little snow yesterday too🥶😱🥶 I set a low goal of 3 books this month and beat it by one. 1,234 pages read and my favorite was The Testaments! 💚 Circue Du Freak was #bbrc #middlegrademadeeasy readers choice pick. I'm using Frankenstein for the #ughhhhh prompt because Victor Frankenstein is such a painfully bumbling schmuck. 😬😬😬

sprainedbrain Painfully bumbling schmuck is extremely accurate. 😂 2w
Mynameisacolour I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who thought so 😂😂😂 @sprainedbrain 2w

Engaging ghost story, but the scariest stuff the characters have to deal with is puberty.

#MiddleGradeMadeEasy #ReadersChoice #BBRC .

An autobiography, covering the author‘s childhood, growing up between wartime Britain, & India, through independence & partition. I found this a really good read! She never talks down to her readers, whether explaining Indian politics, describing the shock of wartime England, or telling of the loss of her baby brother. I imagine it‘d be quite challenging for young readers, but fascinating nonetheless.

Bedtime reading with the cat, a giant teddy bear and my little reader. We started this one tonight and I hope it won't be too spooky for her. 👻🧛‍♂️👀

LibrarianRyan Hummm. Interesting choice. The movies is pg. the book May be more pg13. But way more aprocable than his Demonita series. If you haven‘t seen the movie. Don‘t. 3mo

I found it really interesting that the paperback and the kindle version of this book have different covers. I'm used to seeing it in various editions. Too bad this wouldn't count for the changing cover in the middle of the series for #MiddleGradeMadeEasy lol. #BBRC @LibrarianRyan

LibrarianRyan I‘ve been slowly making a list of books with cover changes in the middle of the series. I‘m at 34 and some of them I barely remember. 4mo

Lets read some Middle Grade books. Middle grade books usually fall between 4th grade and 8th grade. For this part of the challenge, younger chapter books are okay as well.

explanations
Cover Change Mid series means they changed the cover after the first book but before the series ended. ie. Lightening Thief.

new Classics - written after the 80's but before 2010

When in doubt ask a librarian

BooknerdsLife Hahaaa Lightning Thief was the first book that came into my mind right away too!!! 🤣🤨 5mo
4thhouseontheleft Do you have some suggestions for new classics? I'm trying to read solely from Maya's bookshelves, and prefer them to be books I haven't read before. Nim's Island and The Tale of Despereaux were two I was thinking about for this prompt.
