Pickpick

This was a very good read right from the start and was a page-turner all the way through. I enjoyed the author's writing and will definitely read another book written by her. The characters were well-developed and the plot was excellent and kept me riveted to the story. The book had a great moral lesson of right and wrong and was beautifully delivered. I cried at the ending which had very tender moments and I didn't want the book to end.

MandaChittles This one left me bawling! Sobbing. Ugly crying!! 5y
EadieB @MandaChittles I know! So sad! 5y

Hello! Testing this thing with my latest book buys at the 37th Manila International Book Fair (the other book is #ASeparatePeace by #JohnKnowles). I wouldn't say I'm into sci-fi, alien worlds intimidate me but I'm interested in androgyny. Got interested in A Separate Peace because of the recs, one of which is by a recent author I enjoyed, #MLStedman.

Crystallinegirl I know this is a super old post, but what did you think of A Separate Peace? I remember hating both it and the two boys in it, but it was also a school-assigned book back in high school almost twenty (ew) years ago, so it might be worth a re-read now that I'm older. 7y
whimsy Hi @Crystallinegirl! I haven't actually read this one yet. Both books are in my TBR (which is a whole shelf :x) but thank you for sharing your insights! I'll make sure to pick it up soon. :D 7y

It's amazing how different covers can be between country to country. They can almost change how you look and feel about a novel. I thought I was okay with the US cover until I saw this UK cover. I absolutely love it! #mlstedman

Joanne1 So is that the UK cover or the US. I'm in Australia and the cover was different to the one pictured. 8y
