I had high expectations for Too Much and Never Enough as it has been touted as a “tell-all” memoir and a “scathing takedown” of Donald Trump, written by his niece Mary L. Trump. There was some interesting information in the book and Mary does a great job of showing how the Trump family (and more specifically, how the patriarch of the family, Fred) shaped Donald into the person he is today, but I was expecting more damaging secrets to be exposed ⬇️

candority Instead, much of the book centers around how Mary and her brother, Fritz, were mistreated by the family following their father‘s early death. It is definitely not what I was expecting. 3⭐️ #SummerFun Bingo #GenreYouUsuallyAvoid (edited) 4y
monkeygirlsmama I agree. It wasn't entirely what I expected, but it was interesting and enlightening. 4y
Megabooks I agree as well. 4y

Buechersuechtling Thanks for your review, it summarises exactly what I felt after just having listened to it on German Blinkist. 4y
candority @Buechersuechtling Listening to a summary is definitely the way to go for this one! 4y

This book reminded me of the old school adventure games I used to play as a student. Walking around in a surreal landscape, meeting weird people and asking questions to solve riddles and puzzles and get to a next level. I don‘t think I will take this series to the next level though. I liked reading it but there are so many questions and I‘m not especially eager to find out the answers.

ONH Have you seen the movie?? It was enough for me to add the book to my reading list. Very interesting and exciting if you like thrillers and action movies. 4y
readordierachel I felt the same. 4y
BarbaraBB @ONH I haven‘t seen the movie but I think I should, I do like thrillers. 4y

batsy Ah, sorry it wasn't a more exciting read for you! 4y
arubabookwoman I had same reaction. And reviews on Amazon said the next 2 books in the trilogy are the same and don‘t provide any answers. So I decided not to read them. 4y
BarbaraBB @batsy Don‘t be, I love reading out of my comfortzone! #livingontheedge 😂😘 (edited) 4y
Ruthiella I liked this one a lot just for how weird it was but for sure it has a lot of blank spaces. 4y
