After finishing This Mortal Coil, I was dealing with a major book hangover. That made it difficult to get into my current read of Forest of a Thousand Lanterns. This past weekend, I finally broke through my slump, and I am loving this book. Julie C. Dao does an excellent job easing the reader into this setting and then the pace kicks into gear.
