I love seeing Elrond in here, and l'm not surprised that Tolkien couldn't resist having him. Elrond seemed to be a character very close to Tolkien's heart, as the quote above betrays, in my opinion.
And truly, Elrond is an incredible character.
Rivendell looks very different from LotR, but l still love it.
