Sorry I'm a little late with this one. On paper this episode had to look stupid, Picard vs the Devil, but it turned into a fun episode, one of my favorites from season 4. Too bad Ardra was just a one shot character, it would have been enjoyable to see her cross paths with Picard again.

Faust | Goethe

#DevilsDue TNG 4.13 Yet another Phase II script adapted for TNG. This one is not exactly good but it's entertaining at least. Courtroom drama with a side of con artist. Just your basic Faustian deal plot with a techno twist.

Of course Faust is what I pick! The Foundational Faust™ is Goethe's, one I have not read since early adolescence. Alternatively Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus works in a pinch.

We Sold Our Souls | Grady Hendrix

#DevilsDue is a fun, IMO, episode where an entire planet believes they‘ve sold their souls to the devil. 🙄😉😏 Of course the crew foils her plans.

Grady Hendrix is my only current horror auto-buy author. His latest book (tagged) is about a band selling their souls to the devil, but I recommend all his books, especially on audio!
