Jones creates a school full of loveable and hateable students and tells this story in an interesting manner. I liked it a lot better now rereading it with my husband, but didn't care for this when I first read it as a teen. It's an interesting entry in the Chresomanci series. #Witches #Magic

Continuing my reread of this series with this book that I don‘t remember at all (other than that I didn‘t like it as a teen). It‘s a pretty quirky story packed full of Romeo and Juliet nods, cats, and an interesting sung magic system. This hardly has anything to do with Chrestomanci compared to the books collected in the first volume. #magic #cats #MultipleWorlds

My husband recently decided he needs more Diana Wynne Jones books in his life, so I'm revisiting some of my favorite high school reads with him. I definitely don't remember a lot of what happens in these books, so the reread has been super fun! #Magic #MultipleWorlds

I read this series in high school and absolutely loved it. Right now, I'm rereading it with my husband because now that I've introduced him to Diana Wynne Jones, he's obsessed. I loved this book just as much as an adult. There are a few parts that show their age, of course. The conclusion of the 9 girls situation is so characteristic of Diana's writing! 😂 #Fantasy #MultipleWorlds
