Yes I Can: The Story of Sammy Davis, Jr | Sammy Davis Jr, Jane And Burt Boyar, Jane Boyar
Pickpick

I devoured this book. It covered his life from his birth to the birth of his firstborn. All he wanted was to be treated the same as other performers. I admire him for his work and I'm so glad I got to read his story.

Kiya: Hope of the Pharaoh | Katie Hamstead
Pickpick

Had this book for a few years before I decided to read it. I only purchased it because the title is similar to my daughter's name. It was GREAT!!! I recommend it to any type of reader. It has intrigue, a nasty villainess, love interests, and a hero who will not betray her Hebrew beliefs.

"One for all and all for one." One of my all-time favorite books and authors. When I saw the PopSugar prompt for a book that inspired a phrase, I knew which book I would read. I haven't read it in 25 years, so it was about time for a reread.

I also finished Paolo Coelho's The Alchemist. Loved it.

The Last Queen: A Novel | C. W. Gortner

Learned so much about Juauna, sister to Catherine (Henry VIII's first wife). She was abandoned by everyone she loved and was separated from her children. Such an interesting creature. After reading Gortner, I'm left wondering, was she truly insane?

I also finished The Elusive Mrs. Pollifax (E) and The Royal Mistress (2 word title). Started The Goldfinch (Chunkster, movie in 19).

Whoa!! This book was awesome. I cringed during the scene when the "bear" was acting as a Holy figure to persuade the priest to do as it said. Completed Queen Isabella too. On to #ReadHarder2019 (alternate history novel) #Booked2019 (female detective)

#PopSugar2019 (turn into movie / imaginary creature)

Cinfhen No, it‘s totally ok!!!! I love when it happens 🧡good for you 5y
Gezemice Oh, Queen Isabella is fantastic! 5y
ApplesandSpindles I love Alison Weir's biographies! I know she has fiction too, but her biographies are so riveting that I haven't even tried her fiction. The Bear and the Nightingale is on my nightstand. Can't wait to dive into it! 5y
Butterfinger @megnews I am listening to this again because I wanted to see if I still felt weird about it. I wanted to see my first review. I usually don't mind reading about culture clashes and how old myths and traditions evolve into Christian beliefs. It interests me. That is how Christianity spread, but this book just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, yet I love it. Am I being too sensitive? 2y
megnews Still just starting. I‘ll let you know 2y
