pickVery short read to introduce the reader to Glenn Burke, the first openly gay man in professional baseball. Would love to say things have improved but with people like Clayton Kershaw still wielding power in the Dodgers clubhouse, it‘s an uphill battle.
pickThis one is a low pick for me. I liked the characters put the plot was just so off the rails I couldn't get totally invested in the story. I've said this numerous times, I prefer characters and plots are at least plausible, if not, then the writing must be of such quality as to make up for the short comings. 3ish Stars
